Where is it?

  • The New Ground address is: Trinity Guild Rugby Football Club, Samaritan Way, Segro Park, Baginton Coventry CV8 3EE

What facilities will the new Club have?

  • There will be a large Club room, long bar and Commercial kitchen facilities, 6 changing rooms with showers, Medical - Physio room.
  • There will be a large car park, including space for coaches, with an outdoor patio area in front of the Main club room.
  • There will be 2 Floodlit pitches, a Junior Pitch, and a large outfield with scope for Multi Sports and Family areas.

How big is it?

  • We have a 15 acre ground, which sits within the new Country Park. There is a perimeter fence around the ground to keep it separated from the Country Park.

Will it be secure ?

  • The Clubhouse and Grounds is accessed through the Business Park which has 24 hour Gatehouse Security. Our field with have its own gated access.

How does Buckingham's going out of business affect the progress of the build?

  • Firstly, our contract is with SEGRO plc (the developer of the Business Park) however there potentially will be a 2 month delay in the Clubhouse build linked to a new contractor being appointed. We continue to liaise closely with SEGRO to minimise any delay.
  • There is a separate contractor working on the pitch and pitch light facilities, who SEGRO are working with directly.

When will it open?

  • We still plan to have a completed Clubhouse and Grounds to tie in with the 125th Anniversary in February 2024, and to start playing there next season.

Can we afford it?

  • The New ground and facilities are being provided to us by SEGRO plc as part of the relocation agreement from Rowley Road.
  • We will have some costs for furnishing the Club, new items of kit, however these are being carefully managed and budgeted for.
  • The ongoing running costs of the Club will be our responsibility and it will remain important we manage the club in a sustainable way.

Can we visit the site?

  • We are looking to get some dates to allow people to see the site and will circulate these once known.

What can I do to help?

  • Help spread the positive news about the exciting new opportunity we have at the new ground.
  • Help promote the different playing groups we offer so that we can continue to grow.
  • There are several roles advertised on the Club Social Media channels, please let us know if you are interested or want to have a chat about one.
  • We plan to try and maximise the new facility by holding different events, functions and will need support with these; perhaps you have one you wish to run – organise?
  • Please feed in any ideas for events, activity days, Clubroom hire, corporate partnerships, sponsorship etc. Please have a chat with a Committee member or ask to come to one of the monthly meetings.
  • We appreciate there is a lot of ‘skills and different experience’ within the Membership and we are keen to tap into these. We are a ‘Club’ so it’s everyone’s to share and join in with.
