In the opening stages of the season, the Guild Mini and Junior section has showcased commendable dedication and sportsmanship on and off the field. With a focus on skill development, teamwork, and fostering a love for the game, the youngsters have demonstrated promising performances that speak to their commitment to the sport.
The season kicked off with enthusiasm and energy, as the mini teams displayed a keen understanding of the fundamentals of rugby. Coaches have been working diligently to nurture the players' abilities, emphasising not only technical proficiency but also the importance of camaraderie and core values within the team.
In the junior division, the burgeoning talents have shown significant progress in adapting to the more complex aspects of the game. As they navigate challenging fixtures, the players are learning valuable lessons about strategy, discipline, and resilience on the rugby pitch. This has been successful with all players which has proven the strategy we have is working as two of our U14 boys have excelled and gained access to the Warwickshire DPP (formerly wasps) which is a great achievement.
It's worth noting that the coaching staff has played a pivotal role in shaping the character of the Mini and Junior rugby section. Their commitment to mentorship and fostering a positive learning environment has undoubtedly contributed to the players' growth and overall success.
In this early part of the season, there is an optimistic outlook for the continued development and success of the mini and junior rugby teams. The Guild strive to be stronger and develop our youngsters with the long term goal of feeding our adult section for continued sustainability in the coming years.
We look forward to supporting Coventry Rugby Club at another takeover day this Saturday the 18th of November!
