Welcome to the first edition of The Guilder - a newsletter to keep you up-to-date with everything happening at The Guild.
It's our 125th Anniversary and we have lots of events happening to celebrate this momentous time!
New Ground Update
Clubhouse structure is up! We should be taking possession in July this year. The new ground is located on the other side of the airport runway from Rowley Road, within the SEGRO Park Coventry Gateway estate. The Guild will be surrounded on 2 sides by a newly created 235-acre community park!
The two Senior floodlit pitches, Junior pitch and large grassed area have been levelled and will be seeded at the end of this month.
The RFU has input into the required playing surfaces and an agronomist is overseeing the work. First games will take place in September at start of 2024-2025 season.
The new bar will be three times as long as our existing one. Together with a commercial kitchen, we are looking to run the clubhouse as a venue, as well as a centre for all rugby related activity.
We are looking for business partners to work with us and will have to manage the new facility to drive revenue.
A new access road to the A45 and internal estate roads have been built, drainage installed and utilities are under construction.
We are all looking forward to lifting our first pint whilst overlooking the first team pitch – either from the lounge or big terrace.
